Trying to make a dent in my art backlog! ^^; Got so much to do right now, bleh... Anyway, this is for a trade with :iconfyrisvellir:, his character Lisa Whitehall. From his zombie fiction, which actually seems really quite cool and original, considering how hard it is to add anything to the zombie format these days. :]

I kinda like the idea of vultures circling zombies. -shrugs- Though they don't really look like vultures! I was experimenting a bit with the shading and such. The original looks quite a bit nicer and less grainy. ^^;

Ink & paper.

Yay! Ah, this is so awesome! :la:

I am so glad you chose to make this a black-and-white ink piece! As usual, nice work with the bold lighting. I especially love the shine on Lisa's hair and jacket; this inkwork is wonderful! The zombie dude looks suitable creepy, too. Also, the little blood splatter details are a pretty neat touch, I love it!
The vultures are a nice idea; I imagine zombies would confuse the hell outta them. I kinda like the idea of vultures pecking away at a walking zombie who's trying to shoo them off. xD

Anyway, thanks! I've only just started planning the Marcus piece though, I'm afraid, and it may take a while. ^^;

Glad you like!

Thanks! I realised afterwards that there wouldn't be much blood 'cause corpses don't actually bleed... xD I guess it's just gore or something.

Sure! Take as long as you need. :) Doesn't need to be anything over-epic, though! I only spent a couple of hours on this, really. ^^;

It depends how quickly after death the person gets resurrected. x)

Anyway, thanks for being so patient with me regarding our art trades. I'm currently working on a big Ōkami ink piece, but I shall prioritise Marcus. :)

Depends on if the heart still pumps, surely? Otherwise the body would do that weird water-level thing where the upper parts would go really pale and the lower parts would fill with blood due to gravity and therefore turn reddish. I've never really seen that before on zombies, either. Saying that, original Slavic vampires/zombies are meant to be red from the blood they've drunk. Bleh. Corpses are grosssss. >___<

Vultures do eat corpses, y'know, even if they're completely putrid. It's, like, their whole thing. It's not about blood at all.
Anyway, yeah, this isn't a pleasant subject, but I think zombies + vultures definitely makes for some funny situations. xD

Oh, sorry! I thought you were talking about whether or not corpses bleed. :)

Wait... I was at first, and somewhere along the line I seem to have forgotten what we were talking about. I now realise that's what you were getting at, but I was confused there for a minute; I thought you were talking about blood in regards to the birds' interest in the zombies, for some reason. Ugh, sorry, I'm tired. xD
Anyway, no, I was saying that there would still be blood left in the corpse if it was resurrected immediately, not that the blood would still be getting pumped around it somehow. It doesn't need to be spraying out of the thing to make a mess of her knife. Dx

Okay. Now let us both stop talking about corpses bleeding. Forever. x)

This picture totally reminded me of Borderlands. But then, I spent the day killing corpse eaters in Jacobs Cove.
